Resolution of Intent to Impose an Increase in Levies

 

As an essential part of its budgeting process, the Swan River School Board of Trustees is authorized by law to impose levies to support its budget.  The Swan River School Board of Trustees estimates the following increases/decreases in revenues and mills for the funds noted below for the next school fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019, using certified taxable valuations from the current school fiscal year as provided to the district.

Transportation Fund:  Estimated change in revenues: $0 increase.  Estimated change in Mills: 0 increase. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is a $0 increase, and on a home of $200,000 is a $0 increase.

Tuition Fund:  Estimated change in revenues: $0 increase.  Estimated change in Mills: 0 increase. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is a $0 increase, and on a home of $200,000 is a $0 increase.

Building Reserve Fund:  Estimated change in revenues: $150 decrease.  Estimated change in Mills: 0.03 decrease. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is a $0.01 decrease, and on a home of $200,000 is an $0.01 decrease.

Total:  Estimated change in revenues: $150 decrease.  Estimated change in Mills: 0.03 decrease. Estimated impact on a home of $100,000 is a $0.01 decrease, and on a home of $200,000 is an $0.01 decrease.

Regarding the increase in the building reserve levy referenced above, the following are school facility maintenance projects anticipated to be completed at this time:  Roof repairs, well maintenance, paging system installation, playground maintenance.
